Medical
Center Launches New Ad Campaign
In January,
NYU Medical Center launched its first strategic advertising
campaign. Debuting in the “Science” section
of the New York Times, the ads reflect that the Medical
Center has “the latest thinking” in four
key programs—surgery, cancer, heart disease, and
rehabilitation medicine. With visually arresting photos
accompanied by a list of sub-specialties in each of
these programs, the ads are designed to distinguish
NYU’s advertising from that of other academic
medical centers.
In addition, the campaign incorporates the Medical Center’s
new strategic slogan, “We Advance Medicine,”
which has been trademarked and will begin appearing
in other communications tools in the months ahead.
Dean and CEO Robert M. Glickman, M.D., said that the
ad campaign “is an exciting step forward for us.
These ads contain a strong message about NYU Medical
Center and reflect the depth of our expertise in four
key areas.”
The print ads appeared in the Times, the New York Observer,
and New York magazine, and throughout the month of March,
a “latest thinking” ad appeared on the sides
of 30 NY Waterway buses that travel around midtown Manhattan.
The Office of Communications and Public Affairs developed
the ad campaign, with the active leadership of Linda
Gosden Robinson, a Vice Chair of the Boards of Trustees. |
