Babies may be born with abnormal cysts in or next to the brain. These cysts may be benign or malignant; with some remaining aymptomatic until adulthood. If they grow in size or cause symptoms, they may need to be drained or removed. Arachnoid, dermoid, and epidermoid cysts are three common types of congenital cysts.
