Angiography
There is a dedicated, experienced neuroendovascular team available at all times for both diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions. The angiography suite is located on the second floor.

Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
Invasive monitors may be necessary in cases in which there is a suspicion of elevated intracranial pressure. These may be placed either in the operating room or at the bedside. A ventricular drain is a specific type of intracranial pressure monitor that also allows excess intracranial fluid to be drained.

Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring
Intravascular monitors are frequently placed either intraoperatively or postoperatively to monitor the patient's hemodynamic and cardiovascular status. Members of the Critical Care team are available 24 hours/day to place these monitors.

Video Electroencephalography (EEG)
Twenty-four hour continuous monitoring is available to monitor for seizure activity. A dedicated neurology/epilepsy team is available for interpretation and medication consultation.

Bedside Ultrasound
This noninvasive technique is used to diagnose vascular occlusion secondary to thrombus or stenosis.

CT/MRI
These noninvasive imaging techniques are ordered frequently, both preoperatively and postoperatively, to investigate the intracranial or spinal areas of the body. A spiral chest CT may be performed to evaluate for pulmonary embolism.
