Training Program

WelcomeDr. Kolodny

This is an exciting time for the neurosciences. The 1990s were designated the "Decade of the Brain" by the United States Congress, but in all the fields of biology and medicine, a lively interest in the nervous system continues to build. The brain is the new frontier in medicine. And clinical neurology is the beneficiary of dramatic new developments in neuroimaging, stereotactic neurosurgery, interventional radiology, behavioral neurology, epilepsy, molecular genetics and immune disorders of the nervous system.

We at NYU School of Medicine are fortunate to have excellent facilities for evaluating and treating children and adults with neurological diseases. Our large referral base and the capacity of our hospitals ensure our professional staff and trainees the broadest possible clinical exposure. The neurology residency training program is able to utilize these resources to the fullest, providing an excellent foundation upon which to build careers in clinical and academic medicine.

This webpage has been prepared to provide you with details about training opportunities in neurology at NYU. We hope you find it useful.

Sincerely,

Edwin H. Kolodny, MD
