Graduate Education: Dr. Derkatch received her Ph.D. degree in Genetics from St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, Russia in 1995.

PostDoctoral Training: Dr. Derkatch was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Assistant Professor at the Laboratory for Molecular Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1995-2002.
