The Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Center is a collaborative program between the Division of Rheumatology and the NYU Department of Dermatology. The Center, established in 2003, is directed by Drs. Soumya Reddy and Gary Solomon from the Division of Rheumatology, and Dr. Bruce Strober, of the Department of Dermatology. The Center cares for approximately 1,300 patients each year.

Treatment of psoriatic arthritis is best directed by a rheumatologist but many patients may require co-management by a dermatologist. At the Center patients receive integrated care from both a rheumatologist and dermatologist.

The Center specializes in both traditional medications and the newer biologic medications. Dr. Reddy is the principal investigator of numerous clinical trials of novel treatments for psoriatic arthritis at the Seligman Center for Advanced Therapeutics. In addition, she is the principal investigator for the Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Research Registry of NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases which follows a cohort of patients over a long period of time to answer important clinical, translational, and epidemiologic questions regarding psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
