One of our missions in the NYU Division of Rheumatology is to live up to our history as one of the first and foremost rheumatology divisions in the country, and to carry forward our tradition of excellence in each aspect of the proverbial three-pronged mission: clinical care, the training of clinician-scientists, and research.

We have long had an outstanding training program that has populated leadership positions in rheumatology at institutions nationwide. With the merger between NYU and the Hospital for Joint Diseases, the Division of Rheumatology is a major component of a new "super campus" and a Center of Excellence in arthritis and autoimmunity, extending along Manhattan’s East Side from 17th to 34th Street.
