Tisch Hospital

At NYU's Tisch Hospital, patients with pulmonary diseases are admitted by referring pulmonologists who also serve as teaching staff. Clinical services provided by the Division at Tisch include:

• the NYU Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates, a full-service Pulmonary and Critical Care faculty group practice.  Members of the practice include:  Dr. Doreen Addrizzo-Harris, Dr. Elvio Ardilles, Dr. Rany Condos, Dr. Suzette Garofano and Dr. Gail Schattner.  This practice has a pulmonary function testing laboratory in the suite whereby full PFTs are performed including lung volumes, flow rates, airway resistance, bronchodilator therapy and diffusing capacity.  Additional tests available include the six-minute walk test, exercise oximetry and inspiratory and expiratory pressures
   
• a Medical Intensive Care Unit co-directed by Drs. Mark Sloane and  David Schwartz; the Critical Care Faculty Group Practice is directed by Dr. Brian Kaufman.
