Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is a three-year training program that readies you for a career in any area of pulmonary and critical care medicine that you choose. Our faculty in NYU Langone’s Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine emphasize a range of specialty areas, including pulmonary physiology, airway disease, interstitial lung diseases, sleep, bronchoscopy, and infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease.

Under the leadership of Doreen J. Addrizzo-Harris, MD, fellowship director, we offer a well-rounded clinical training program that combines broad experience with an extensive curriculum of didactics, case-based learning, simulation with a diverse inpatient and outpatient population, and rotations in our medical and nonmedical intensive care units.

Extensive clinical opportunities are available at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital, NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. Our fellows also rotate at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn.

We also encourage academic inquiry and research to generate new knowledge and contribute to the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. As a fellow, you have the unique opportunity to choose a research project in your third year that prepares you for a career in basic, translational, or clinical research.

Whatever your goals for the future, our outstanding faculty are available to mentor you and provide the support you need during training.

Fellowship Accreditation

Our Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The three-year program meets eligibility requirements for both pulmonary and critical care medicine boards and trains graduates for a career of their choosing in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
