Clinical Responsibilities
Dr. Antonella Surbone, MD PhD FACP was born in Turin , Italy, where she obtained her medical degree in 1982, summa cum laude, from the University of Turin, Italy. She trained as a Fellow in the Department of Medicine, Istituto Nazionale Tumori in Milan, Italy and as Visiting Associate in the Medicine Branch, National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. From 1987, she worked in Italy as Research Assistant at the INT, Milano and as Vice-Chairman of the Department of Oncology in Pisa. From 1994 to 2000 she has been Attending Physician and Member at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She worked as Head of the Teaching Division of the European School of Oncology from 2004 to 2006.
