Cutaway drawing of Parthenon as metaphoric home of the Virtual Museum of Bacteria

This site brings together many links on bacteria, bacteriology, and related topics available on the web. It also provides crystal-clear information about many aspects of bacteria. If you're unfamiliar with the subject, here's a start: Bacteria are living things that are neither plants nor animals, but belong to a group all by themselves. They are very small and they can multiply really fast. There are many links to pictures, video's, and explanatory text; you are presented with a synopsis of the diverse world of bacteria, you learn that not all bacteria are harmful, how they are used in industry, and they belong to the oldest living creatures on Earth.
[The Virtual Museum of Bacteria is sponsored by the Society for Applied Microbiology]
