Fellowship Tracks

As an applicant, you select one of the following three tracks, which share an identical first year focusing on clinical experience and training at Bellevue Hospital, Tisch Hospital, and the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Together the three hospitals offer a uniquely diverse exposure to all major and many rare infectious diseases.

After the first year, the tracks diverge to provide intensive research training for investigator-track fellows and additional clinical training for clinician-track fellows. The development of enhanced clinical experiences, mentorship by world-class faculty, and challenging research opportunities combine to make the NYU fellowship program a dynamic training experience for building a career in infectious disease clinical practice, research, private industry, or public health policy and disease prevention.

Clinician Track
Two years of clinical training, including inpatient and outpatient care.

Basic Investigator Track
Three years that provide training in laboratory research.

Clinical Investigator Track
Three years that provide training in various patient-based research fields.
