Bo Shopsin, M.D., Ph.D.

Bo Shopsin, M.D., Ph.D., and NYU Infectious Diseases Fellow 2004-2006, was awarded a five-year, Fellow-to-Faculty Award from the American Heart Association to support his studies of regulation of virulence in Staphylococcus aureus. 

In addition, he was awarded a grant by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, to support his studies of regulation of virulence in chronic S. aureus infections of the respiratory tract.  Dr. Shopsin's mentor for these studies is Richard Novick, M.D., of the NYU Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine.
