The inpatient geriatrics consult service at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital treats medical, functional, cognitive, and psychosocial disorders in hospitalized older adults. Our team specializes in providing the highest-quality care to patients with complex or multiple chronic conditions, cognitive impairment, mobility issues, and frailty. Our goals are to help our patients maintain function, support patients’ priorities for their care, and improve quality of life.

Aging and Cognitive Health Consult Service at NYU Langone Internal Medicine Associates

The outpatient Aging and Cognitive Health consult service at NYU Langone Internal Medicine Associates provides multidisciplinary care for older adults with complex care needs. Our geriatricians offer comprehensive services, including cognitive assessments, subspecialty referrals, and patient caregiver information. Pearl I. Barlow Center for Memory Evaluation and Treatment

The Pearl I. Barlow Center for Memory Evaluation and Treatment offers geriatric assessments and consultations for patients older than 65 with memory concerns, cognitive impairment, or dementia. Physicians evaluate daily activity performance, assess vision and hearing, manage and tailor medications, address mental health concerns, connect patients with community resources, and minimize caregiver burden.

Geriatrics Clinic at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue

Our geriatricians also practice at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. The Bellevue geriatrics clinic, an accredited Patient Centered Medical Home, is one of the oldest and largest such clinics in the country. NYU Langone–affiliated geriatricians at the Manhattan campus of the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System see older adult veterans most commonly for dementia, gait disorders, falls, and chronic heart failure management.
