Division of Geriatric Medicine & Palliative Care Education

We offer comprehensive training to the next generation of geriatricians and palliative care specialists.

At NYU Langone’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care, our mission is to train future physicians, researchers, and academic leaders in these specialties. We offer varied education opportunities to medical students and residents in geriatric medicine and palliative care. We also offer a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship, a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, and a two-year Integrated Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine Fellowship.

Our clinical rotations take place at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital and Kimmel Pavilion, NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. These facilities are major referral centers for their respective systems. NYC Health + Hospitals/Gouverneur is our teaching nursing home and is the site for both subacute and long-term care training. The diversity of patient populations cared for by our trainees is a major strength of our educational programs.
