The New York University Medical Center offers a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology based at Bellevue Hospital and the NYVA Hospital and NYU's Tisch Hospital. The program includes training in diseases of the alimentary tract and of the liver. There are nine fellows in the program. All positions have been filled through 2008. There will be three first-year positions available for July 2009.

The NYU training program is participating in the fellowship match and will accept applications through ERAS. Interviews will begin scheduling in January or February 2008 for July 2009 positions. In addition to the application, we require 3 letters (one from your program director), CV, personal statement, board scores and a copy of your medical school transcript.

The program offers instruction in the art and science of a GI consultation, a mastery of techniques in endoscopic and other gastroenterologic procedures, as well as an understanding of the issues relevant to both inpatient and outpatient management of gastrointestinal diseases at our three teaching hospitals.
