Dr. Ann Danoff, the Director of the Division of Endocrinology at the NYU Langone Medical Center, was one of the Chairs of the Endocrine Society Trainee Day event on June 9, 2009 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center. The single-day event this year provided access for 275 of the most highly qualified graduate students, postdoctoral and clinical fellows to leading experts in the field.

The Endocrine Society Trainee Day offers specialized programming that includes plenary lectures in translational endocrine research and three concurrent tracks of educational sessions for adult and pediatric clinical fellows and basic science trainees. In addition to providing exposure to state-of-the-art clinical care and research in endocrinology, Trainee Day also offers the opportunity for trainees to interact with preeminent scientists and clinicians, who provide insight into career options and opportunities. Dr. Danoff has played a key role in organizing the Annual Endocrine Society Trainee Day since its inception in 2007.
