Medicine-Surgery Conferences

The Medicine-Surgery Conference is an interdisciplinary, collaboratively planned and presented conference series, which joins the departments of Medicine and Surgery with invited other specialties in discussion of a selected notable case.

The goal of these sessions is to improve collaboration between the Departments of Medicine and Surgery. The standard format includes a brief didactic presentation followed by facilitated discussion with audience members from multiple departments. Alternatively, we experiment with formats, for example, debates between faculty members of Medicine and Surgery on controversial topics.
