The ECRIP program encourages academic medical centers to train physicians as clinical researchers to advance research in New York’s hospitals. Dr. Schwartz received one of five ECRIP awards provided to NYU Langone Medical Center, the only one awarded in the Department of Medicine. The award provides $75,000 per year to support a GIM research fellow for two years. The fellow will conduct mentored research in DGIM and enroll in NYU’s Masters of Science in Clinical investigation program.
