Nirav Shah, M.D., M.P.H.

Nirav Shah, MD, MPH, has been chosen to receive the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Regional Award for Excellence as a Junior Clinician-Investigator from the Society of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Shah is Associate Director for Research in the Division of General Internal Medicine and an Associate Investigator at the Geisinger Center for Health Research in Pennsylvania. Dr. Shah cares for patients at Bellevue Hospital and conducts research that combines information technology and new ways to improve care for vulnerable populations in two settings: the public hospital system of New York City and the rural, aging population of eastern Pennsylvania's Geisinger Health System.
