Sarah Berry, MD, an attending physician on the Tisch Hospitalist Service, has been selected for the Clinical Quality Fellowship Program of the Greater New York Hospital Association.
The CQFP is an intensive 15-month structured collaborative to develop a cadre of leaders to advance patient safety and quality in the region. The program seeks to enhance the quality, efficiency, and safety of patient care by developing physicians' skills in leading quality-care and patient-safety initiatives. Fellows will be exposed to a wide variety of tools, interactive sessions, and strategies in the field of quality and patient safety and return to their institutions with the skills to become change agents and champions of a "culture of safety."
Dr. Berry joined the NYU faculty as an academic hospitalist in 2007. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, and completed her residency in internal medicine at NYU. Dr. Berry will be spearheading a Capstone Quality Initiative Project for 2009-2010 at NYU Langone Medical Center.
