Gestational Carrier Program

If your infertility is due to the loss of your uterus (removed by surgery), congenital anomalies of the uterus, a medical condition that prevents you from carrying a pregnancy or some other condition, our Gestational Carrier Program may help. Our program gives the option of using a gestational carrier, also referred to as a host uterus, to carry a full-term pregnancy.

Many women can use their own eggs that can be fertilized by their partner’s or donor sperm, and transferred to a carrier. If using your own eggs is not an option, our skilled experts can help you to coordinate the use of donor eggs for carrier purposes.

It is important to note that a successful pregnancy using a gestational carrier depends primarily on the couple who are attempting to have a child and not on the host uterus, since it is implied that the gestational carrier has been approved to carry a full-term pregnancy. The age of the eggs is of the highest concern, as well as the number of embryos transferred and the ovarian reserve. Fresh embryos are generally preferred over frozen ones as well.

Some women who participate in our program may prefer to have a sister or friend serve as the gestational carrier. Many women will instead use the services of an outside party. We are not involved with the financial and legal arrangements, if any, between the parties.
