  • Micromedex
    Micromedex is a suite of databases that can be searched and browsed for summaries and detailed monographs on drugs, disease, alternative medicine, toxicological managements, reproductive risks, and emergency care. Micromedex uses a peer-reviewed system of an internal editorial staff of pharmacists, toxicologists, physicians, and nurses. Micromedex also includes dosing tools and patient care notes. Available from the Library's web site at http://library.med.nyu.edu - on the left hand side under "Handy Resources".

  • mobile MICROMEDEX is now available for Palm & PocketPC
    Micromedex now also offers a PDA program called mobile MICROMEDEX. The program includes five databases: Drug Info, Alternative Medicine Info, Acute Care Info, Toxicology Info, and Drug Interaction Tool. In order to download, you must have Internet access on the computer with your syncing cradle.   • Clinical Pharmacology Online
    A drug database of peer-reviewed drug monographs, Clinical Pharamcology Online's goal is to provide information on US FDA-approved drugs, including prescription and non-prescription (OTC) pharmaceuticals. It is possible to use its drug comparison search system to create a table comparison of multiple drugs, obtain cost information and drug information handouts. Clinical Pharmacology Online is at http://library.med.nyu.edu - under E-Resources, select E-Databases by Title and either search for Clinical Pharmacology Online by using the search box or browse by title (under the "Cs").
  • Personal Digital Assistant Toolkit
    The Ehrman Medical Library has created a customized web site - a toolkit - on PDA resources with free downloadable software including epocrates. Epocrates is a popular drug database designed for the PDA.
