Who can I call if I have problems at Bellevue?

The Bellevue Hotline.

Bellevue Resident Hotline: (877)686-5740, active business hours are M-F 9AM-5PM. Voicemail 24 hours a day.

The new resident hotline was established to provide residents a forum to voice work-related obstacles to the Medical Director’s office. Residents can call the hotline for any hospital-related problem that arises. Past call topics include missed blood draws by phlebotomy, lack of patient transport, supply carts being empty, issues with nursing or PCTs, and lack of housekeeping support. If you call during business hours, you will likely speak to someone in Dr. Manheimer’s office, and your problem may be solved relatively quickly (i.e. if you cannot find blood culture bottles and you call the hotline, they may magically appear within the next few hours).

If you call after business hours, you can leave a message on voicemail. You should leave your name (unless you wish to keep your complaint anonymous), date, time, residency program, phone number (if desired), email (if desired), and the complaint. If the problem involved care of a particular patient, you should include the patient’s medical record number.

Someone from Dr. Manheimer’s office will attempt to contact you within one business day. The goal from the Medical Director’s office is to eventually have an anonymous log of complaints and responses/results online.
