The Hospital for Joint Diseases Pediatric Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department provides services to a population ranging from 0 to 17 years of age. The pediatric department provides a wide range of services to general orthopaedic, neuromuscular, sensory impaired and developmental delayed populations. Some of the orthopaedic specialties are juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, scoliosis, limb lengthening, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, and legg calve perthes. Examples of neuromuscular disorders are hand, spine, growth and muscle disorders, arthrogryposis, osteogenesis imperfecta, achondroplasis and cerebral palsy.
The pediatric department has an inpatient and outpatient program. We also offer an early intervention and preschool program. For admission information please see the Childrens Center at HJD.
