The staff at the Occupational Therapy Department at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases includes Certified Hand Therapists who have extensive training in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand treatment. Our qualified therapists provide individualized evaluations and treatment programs. They have a unique understanding of all upper extremity problems and are able to create a rehabilitation program tailored to individual needs to ensure optimal restoration of function.
Our therapists work closely with referring physicians to maximize rehabilitation potential.
Comprehensive services are provided for a wide range of acute, post-surgical and chronic conditions involving the upper extremity which include:

The Occupational Therapy Department uses the most current technology for the evaluation and rehabilitation of the upper extremity-injured patient. Our specialized treatment interventions include:

- Modalities (heat/cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis)
