Research
The coordination of both basic and clinical research is an essential component of the Center for Children. It fosters innovative and state-of-the-art care, as well as contributing to the finding of basic knowledge.
The basic research will be focused on the molecular pathogenesis of connective tissue, neuromuscular disorders and bone dysplasias. This will be coordinated with genetic therapeutics including antisense therapy, modalities of therapy and potential new small molecule therapies.
Clinical research will also include sophisticated databasing in determining outcome measures of disease and treatment.
