The Center for the Treatment of Neuromuscular Disorders, which includes the Center for Spasticity and Arthrogryposis Center, is the most complex and diverse of the Center for Children’s four major clinical units. This component of the Center for Children reflects the principle philosophy of the Center: Patient care services are facilitated more effectively and efficiently through an interdisciplinary team approach. Several physicians from different disciplines, as well as therapists, examine and treat the child during each visit. This leads to a better quality of care. Additionally, it is more convenient for the child and caretaker to have all medical care available in one physical location.
