Academic General Pediatrics Fellowship

The Academic General Pediatrics Fellowship is a two-year program based at New York University School of Medicine and Bellevue Hospital Center in Manhattan.

Through this fellowship, we seek to prepare pediatricians for careers in academic pediatrics, in which they will need to have the highest level of skill in pediatric clinical care, research, teaching, advocacy and program development and management.

We anticipate that graduates of this program will become leaders who will set the agenda for policy in pediatric health care delivery, research and education.

Goals of the Fellowship

  • To prepare pediatricians for successful careers in academic medicine
  • To develop leaders in pediatrics who will set the agenda for the pediatric community
  • To develop scientists who will advance pediatric knowledge through clinical research
  • To develop effective advocates for children's needs who will influence medical, social and educational policies
  • To develop exceptional teachers who will guide and mentor future generations of pediatricians
