Interests
As a neuroscientist by training my research is driven by the aim to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis and Huntington´s Disease and to understand if mechanisms employed during development of an organism can be reapplied to restore disease-related deficits.
Currently, my lab is working on elucidating and ameliorating neural deficits by manipulating novel molecular targets and signaling pathways in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer and Huntington ’s disease, as well as in Multiple Sclerosis and psychiatric disorders such as Schizophrenia.
