Michael D. Stifelman, M.D. is Director of the Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery Program, and Director of the new Laparoscopic Urology Program,has pioneered many new minimally invasive surgical and reconstructive techniques. He has published extensively and presented his work both nationally and internationally. Dr. Stifelman teaches advanced laparoscopy for the American Urologic Association. As a leader in the field of laparoscopic Urology,he has considerable experience in performing laparoscopic radical nephrectomy,partial nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy, donor nephrectomy, drenalectomy, repair of ureteropelvic junction obstruction and lymph node dissection. Dr. Stifelman is also an accomplished endoscopist. He has significant experience using minimally invasive techniques to treat both benign and malignant diseases of the urinary system including kidney stones, ureteral obstruction and cancers of the urinary tract. Expanding the use of minimally invasive techniques to treat kidney, prostate and bladder disorders, Dr. Stifelman continues to explore and perfect new uses of this technology in tandem with researchers. Dr. Stifelman is a Fellow of the Endourologic Society and the American Board of Urology. He is also a member of the American Urological Association and Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
