One of New York City's finest since 1991, Bellevue/NYU Occupational & Environmental Medicine Clinic (BNOEMC) is a comprehensive occupational health program dedicated to improving health in the workplace through early recognition, accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and primary prevention of work-related diseases. BNOEMC is one of eight regional occupational health centers established by the New York State Department of Health. The primary mission of the clinic is to provide comprehensive clinical and preventive occupational and environmental medicine services accessible to all, including low-income workers who may be at high risk for work-related diseases. The clinic is university-based and is the only Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) clinic in the New York City public hospital system. We provide clinical OEM services that are accessible to patients and workers who utilize the public hospitals for medical care. In addition to the clinical component, we are developing OEM research and educational programs. We are located in Bellevue Hospital between 27th and 28th Street on 1st Avenue.
