Diagnosis and Treatment
- Endoscopic examination allows accurate diagnosis of local anatomic and
mucosal lesions under local anesthesia in the office.
- CT scanning of the paranasal sinuses further identifies bony and mucosal
abnormalities.
- Many conditions can be treated medically. With accurate diagnosis, treatment
of patients who suffer from repeated episodes of upper respiratory tract illness,
including constant "cold" symptoms, nasal inflammation, sinus infection,
and allergies and related illnesses can result in relief from symptoms.
- If symptoms do not respond to medical treatment, excellent results
can be obtained with limited surgical procedures (Sinus
Surgery) directed at problem areas identified by nasal endoscopy
and CT scanning.
Continuing Care
- Following the determination of a treatment plan in conjunction with the
referring physician, recommendations will be detailed in a letter and on-going
contact maintained.
- Patients undergoing surgical procedures will receive necessary post-operative
office follow-up to ensure the best possible results.
