Main Office Renovation
Please
be advised that our main office will be closed temporarily
starting Friday, November 11, 2005 for renovation. This project
is scheduled to begin on Monday November 14, 2005 for
about a week. During this closure, we will be accessible
to you during our office hours. Our phone calls will
be forwarded and we will be answering our phone calls
as normal. Any questions regarding animal orders you
can also contact Patricia via

There will be a drop-off box in front of MSB 185 to
drop off any mail or items. We will do our best to respond
quickly.
Animal Order Submission Deadline
Due
to Thanksgiving Holiday, deliveries arriving on Friday
November 25 will arrive on Wednesday November 23. Animal
orders need to be submitted by 2 p.m. for deliveries
on November 23-November 30. Tuesday and Wednesday shipments
will arrive as scheduled. There will be no exceptions
or late orders accepted.
Protocol Submission
Deadline
Please
be advised that the protocol submission deadline has
been changed to Wednesday November 23, 2005 due to Thanksgiving
holiday. In

NIH/NCI ORDERS
DLAR was
recently informed by NIH/NCI that all orders
$32 and under will be charged a $35 surcharge
as
of October 1, 2005.
Please
keep in mind when
placing an order that does not exceed $32, you
will be charged an additional $35.

Please
welcome our new addition to the DLAR team,
our new Veterinary Technician for Berg Facility,
Ms. Allison Maurice and Veterinary Technician

Animal Ordering
Starting
September 1, all importing from non-commercial
sources (academic and other research institutions)
must be placed online. Under the Vendor field
select Outside Institution. Under the Ordering
Comments field, include the following: the
name of the exporting PI, the institution’s
animal facility’s contact name, phone number,
fax number and email address. Also include on
the Ordering Comments section if rodents
will be used while in the Berg quarantine room.
That request along with the health report need
to be approved by the DLAR vet or staff.
