Animal Order Submission Deadline Due to Memorial Day (May 26th)
Animal orders need to be submitted no later than 12 noon, Friday, May 23rd (instead of Monday, 26th) for deliveries between May 30- June 5 *You will receive an email notification that your order(s) have been received on Friday, May 23rd after the 12 noon deadline. If you do not receive an email, please notify DLAR at x35308, or email: banksc02@med.nyu.edu as soon as possible. Counteroffers emails will be sent out on Tuesday, as usual, please be sure to answer your counteroffer as soon as possible, preferably by the end of that day. * Due to the shortened week, please submit all cancellations and/or changes to standing orders ASAP before the end of Friday, May 23rd. *
A Message from Veterinary Services...
Please be conscious of mouse cage populations. The “IACUC Policy for Maintaining Mouse Cage Populations” is available to you at this link http://www.med.nyu.edu/dlar/policies/mousedensity.html. It is the researcher’s responsibility to make sure cages are not overcrowded. DLAR Veterinary Technicians will only send emails when cages are grossly overcrowded. Please do not wait for cages to be flagged. Accurate record keeping and knowledge of mouse breeding techniques will help you identify cages that will need to be separated. A dialogue with the Veterinary Technicians will also help avoid unnecessary charges for non-compliance.
