The Diabetes Research Program at NYU was founded July 1, 2010 when Ann Marie Schmidt, MD, Ravichandran Ramasamy, PhD and Shi Fang Yan, MD were recruited to NYU to launch the Program. Our team consists of administrative staff, senior scientists and technical staff, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students.
In a short time, we have hosted medical residents, medical students and a high school student to work with us to expose these colleagues to the basic research components of diabetes and its complications. We look forward to helping to expose trainees and others interested in diabetes research to the field.
The research scientists and principal investigators of the NYU Diabetes Research Program have been actively investigating new lines of investigation and publishing their findings. Follow this link for a brief listing of recently published studies.
