Named
for the year in which the NYU School of Medicine was founded, The
1841 Society was established to gratefully acknowledge individuals
who annually contribute $1,000 or more to NYU Langone Medical Center.
Members
of the Society are the very heart of this great institution, their
contributions ensure that the NYU name remains synonymous with high
quality patient care, superior medical education, and cutting edge
research.
Annual
donors who give $1,000 or more, either unrestricted or for any program
or campaign, are recognized through this prestigious donor club
and receive a personalized membership card that lists important
telephone numbers, including the Donor Service Hot Line and Physician
Referral Service.

Society members are also invited to informative lectures and seminars
given by distinguished NYU physicians and scientists on the latest
breakthroughs and advances in medicine and science currently impacting
healthcare, as well as to exclusive briefings, private receptions,
and other special events.
Additionally,
members of The 1841 Society receive select newsletters and publications
to keep them abreast of the most recent activities and developments
of NYU Langone Medical Center. To further acknowledge the foresight and
staunch advocacy of its longstanding friends, NYU Langone Medical Center
proudly lists 1841 Society members in its annual donor report.
