Amy Metula is a clinical research nurse in thoracic oncology at the NYU Clinical Cancer Center. She is licensed as a registered nurse and as a nurse practitioner in adult health in New York State and is board certified as an adult and geriatric nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Ms. Metula is a graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where she obtained her BSN in 2000. She began her career at Georgetown University Medical Center as a staff nurse in medical oncology, surgical oncology, and stem cell transplantation. She completed her graduate studies in Adult and Geriatric Primary Care at New York University in 2004. While in graduate school she continued to work in medical oncology as a nurse at New York University Hospital.
Ms. Metula’s professional experiences include working as a nurse practitioner in solid organ transplantation and surgical thoracic oncology at NYU, and working as a nurse manager and clinical educator at New York Methodist Hospital. She is pursuing her MBA in health care administration at the Baruch/Mount Sinai Health Care MBA program at the City University of New York.
Ms. Metula is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the American Nurses Association.
