Pre-operative Information
Prior to your surgery, an appointment will be scheduled for you to have a pre-operative work-up in the NYU Medical Center's Pre-Admission Testing Center.
The Testing Center is located on the ground floor of Tisch Hospital, near the Rusk Institute entrance on 34th Street.
The work-up, completed by one of our nurse practitioners, includes:
documentation of your medical history
complete physical exam
routine blood tests and lab work
consultation with an anesthesiologist
