KL2 Program in Translational Research
A new, University-wide, post-doctoral training and career development opportunity for physicians, nurses, dentists, and other appropriate health professionals. This program is most appropriate for individuals in post-doctoral training who are on the path to, but have not yet achieved research independence, and who will continue to develop as investigators under the guidance of an established mentor. The program is a component of the Translational Research Education and Careers (TREC) unit of New York University’s NIH-funded Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Applicants to the program must be participating in full-time research and career development at NYU.
TL1 PhD Program in Clinical and Translational Research
A new, University-wide, doctoral training opportunity for PhD students. The program focuses on the support and development of doctoral candidates seeking careers in translational research, and is a component of the Translational Research Education and Careers (TREC) unit of New York University’s NIH-funded Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI). The program provides opportunities for training in clinical and translational research for PhD students in NYU’s CTSI Partner Schools (see below).
K30 Program in Translational Research
A training program for clinician-scientists interested in applying scientific discoveries to the clinical setting.
Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation
This degree is intended for physicians interested in gaining the knowledge and research experience necessary for a career in population-based or translational research. Physicians can pursue one of two concentrations: Public Health Research or Translational Medicine.
Physician Scientist Training Program
The NYU Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) was established to support and encourage the participation of physician-trainees in intensive experiences in translational research. The target trainees for this program are physicians in, or starting, either residency or fellowship. For the purposes of this program, trainees must be enrolled in training at the NYU School of Medicine.
Masters of Science in Medical Education
The NYU MS in Medical Education prepares physicians for careers as academic Clinician-Educator-Scholars through didactic training in medical education and research methods, and mentored education research. The degree is offered by the NYU School of Medicine in collaboration with the NYU Steinhardt School of Education.
