2005 South Asian Earthquake:
Contextualized in the Global Response to Natural Disasters
The NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health, in conjunction with NYU Center for Immigrant Health (CIH), and the South Asian Health Initiative (SAHI), will sponsor a discussion panel entitled “2005 South Asian Earthquake: Contextualized in the Global Response to Natural Disasters,” as part of the Asian American Health Seminar Series. Suleman Din of The Star Ledger, Asif Alam from the Association of Pakistani Professionals, and Dr. Farzad Najam of Operation Heartbeat and GW University Medical Center, will be participating. The meeting will be moderated by SAHI’s Sapna Pandya, MPH.
The panel will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at NYU School of Medicine’s Schwartz Lecture Hall E. No registration is required.
