Clinical Responsibilities
Dr. Liang's "general" surgery area of expertise is limited to diseases within the abdomen and soft tissues. Such diseases include an array of diagnoses from cancer to benign conditions such as infection, hernia, bleeding, perforation, abnormal growth, traumatic injury, and organ dysfunction. Organs involved range from the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, adrenal glands, spleen, vermiform appendix, diaphragm, and the abdominal wall itself. He uses both the laparoscopic and the open, traditional approach to surgery.
