Bernard A. Feigenbaum, MD, FACP, FAAAAI is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Otolaryngology at NYU School of Medicine and has over twelve years of clinical and teaching experience as an adult and pediatric allergist.
Dr. Feigenbaum is known for his friendly, caring manner and his professionalism. He has given presentations about Professionalism in Medicine for the American Board of Internal Medicine, serves on the Quality Task Force of the NY chapter of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the American College of Medical Quality.
Dr. Feigenbaum is a Principal Investigator at NYUMC, in a study relating to knowledge of pulmonary function, anaphylaxis and IV contrast (radiocontrast media) allergy. He has a research interest in asthma, sinus disease and drug allergy and is a peer reviewer for the Annals of Internal Medicine and the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. He has published articles, abstracts or letters on: aspirin-sensitive asthma; reflux in asthma; bee sting allergy; vocal cord dysfunction; and nitric oxide in asthma. He is Board-Certified in Allergy & Immunology and specializes in the treatment of adults and children with: allergic rhinitis (hayfever) and asthma; chronic cough; acute and chronic sinusitis; food allergy, drug allergy and bee sting reactions & anaphylaxis; hives and angioedema (swelling); and eczema/dermatitis.
Dr. Feigenbaum is one of the few allergists in the NYC area to perform aspirin desensitization and antibiotic desensitization for patients with drug allergies.
