Bernard A. Feigenbaum, MD, FACP, FAAAAI is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Otolaryngology at NYU Langone Medicine Center and has over thirteen years of clinical and teaching experience as an adult and pediatric allergist.

Dr. Feigenbaum is known for his friendly, caring manner and his professionalism. He has given presentations about Professionalism in Medicine for the American Board of Internal Medicine, recently lectured at the request of the NYC Department of Health and in May 2009, presented a workshop on Adverse Drug Reactions and Desensitization at the Annual Meeting of the NY American College of Physicians.

Dr. Feigenbaum is a Principal Investigator at NYU Langone, in a translational study relating to the etiology of chronic sinusitis; and in a study of knowledge of pulmonary function, anaphylaxis and radiocontrast media (RCM) allergy. He has a research interest in asthma, sinus disease and drug allergy and is a peer reviewer for the Annals of Internal Medicine and the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. He has published articles, abstracts or letters on: aspirin-sensitive asthma; reflux in asthma; bee sting allergy; vocal cord dysfunction; and nitric oxide in asthma. Good Morning America, Sirius Radio, CBS News Radio and News Channel 12 Connecticut have all featured Dr. Feigenbaum on-the-air as a medical expert on Allergic Diseases and he has been quoted in the NY Daily News, Los Angeles Times and other print media.

He is Board-Certified in Allergy & Immunology and specializes in the treatment of adults and children with: allergic rhinitis (hayfever) and asthma; chronic cough; acute and chronic sinusitis; food allergy and eosinophilic esophagitis; adverse drug reactions & anaphylaxis; hives and angioedema (swelling); eczema/dermatitis; mastocytosis and other allergic and immunologic diseases.

Dr. Feigenbaum is one of the few allergists in the NYC area to perform aspirin desensitization for cardiac stents and cardiac risk factors and/or aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD) in addition to performing acute drug desensitization for antibiotics, clopidogrel and other drugs. Dr. Feigenbaum has experience with Independent Medical Examination--IME, and testimony as an Expert Witness. In addition, he serves as a Medical Expert Consultant for an office of the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct.
