Clinical Responsibilities
Dr. Jeffrey M. Cohen has been a member of the faculty of the NYU School of Medicine since 1991. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and is board certified in Rehabilitation Medicine. He is Associate Chief of the Fourth Floor Inpatient Service at the Rusk Institute. In addition, he is the Medical Director of the Kathryn Walter Stein Chronic Pain Laboratory at the Rusk Institute. He is also Co-Chief of the Jerry Lewis Neuromuscular Diseases Center at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Cohen has published and presented widely in the areas of chronic pain, computerized infrared imaging and electrodiagnosis. He has served as Course Director of New York University School of Medicine's Post Graduate School course entitled "Chronic Pain and Computerized Infrared Imaging", in 2002, 2004 and 2006. He is the Chair of the Computerized Infrared Imaging Special Interest Group of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Cohen was selected by his peers to be included in the "Best Doctors in America" database for 2005-2006. His areas of specialty and interest include chronic pain, neurological rehabilitation,the rehabilitation of medically complex conditions,including liver and kidney transplantation and electrodiagnosis.
