Clinical Responsibilities
Dr. Carlson joined the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in 2006. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.A. in German Literature and subsequently earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in 2000. He did his internship at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign and his Neurology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He completed two years of fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at NYU. Dr. Carlson's clinical and research interests include magnetoencephalography (MEG), invasive and non-invasive techniques of functional mapping and video EEG monitoring utilizing intracranial electrodes.
