| Clinical Responsibilities |
| Dr. Glyn Morgan is the Associate Director of the Liver Transplant Program at NYU Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at NYU School of Medicine. He obtained his Medical Doctorate in 1986 and completed his Surgery Residency at the University of Toronto in 1992. He was awarded his Master of Science degree in 1992 by the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto for his thesis on liver preservation for organ transplantation. He completed fellowships in Pediatric Liver Transplantation at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and Adult and Pediatric Liver Transplantation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles before coming to NYU in 1995. Dr. Morgan has written and collaborated on over 40 published papers and abstracts and has presented his work at numerous national and international scientific meetings including the International Liver Transplant Society, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the Association for Academic Surgery. Dr. Morgan is the Course Director of the Annual NYU Update in Liver Transplantation and is a member of many academic surgical societies. His research interests include donor imaging and bile duct management in adult living donor liver transplantation, hepatic stem cells, the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma with chemoembolization and liver transplantation, the use of plasma exchange in liver transplant recipients, and the management of recurrent hepatitis B and C following liver transplantation. |
