JUNE S. DIPCHAND

June Dipchand is an associate in the New York office of the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she works in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions.  She is Canadian, and holds a B.S. in Mathematics, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia), an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a Masters in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto (Toronto, Ontario). She started her first career in 2001 as a research engineer in the Advanced Engineering Department of Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana.  June also worked in the engineering field for Nova Scotia Power Corporation and General Motors.  She left engineering in 2002 to pursue a Juris Doctor and Master in Business Administration.  June was a summer associate at the firms of McCarthy Tétrault LLP (Toronto, Ontario) and Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP (New York, New York) before she began her legal career as a full associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in September of 2006. 

SUZANNE MICHAEL

Suzanne Michael, Assistant Professor, Adelphi University School of Social Work, has a PhD in sociology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a Masters of Social Work from the Columbia University. Over the past thirty years she has worked as a clinician at Kings County Hospital Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic; a policy analyst and program developer for the New York City Department of Health; a co-developer and project director of grant-funded community service projects at Hunter College. Suzanne has also taught courses in sociology, public health and social work; written, consulted, and has presented nationally and internationally on language services, service provision to immigrant populations, and health issues. She is a member of the editorial boards of both the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health and the Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies. Suzanne developed and is the faculty director of VITAL SIGNS, an action-research Adelphi University-community partnership that is assessing and tracking Long Island’s social health to foster the reduction of health disparities. Suzanne, a founding member of the Center for Immigrant Health, has been a member of its Executive Advisory Board since 1989.

NADIRA STEWART

Nadira Stewart is an attorney specializing in Employment/Discrimination law. She graduated from Yale University with a degree in Political Science and received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Her practice is based in Elmont, New York. She is dedicated to the elimination of disparities in the treatment of immigrant communities. Nadira is also committed to the preservation of the environment and has recently taken measures to ensure carbon neutrality in her practice.

ANWAR TAMEEZ

Over the course of his career, Anwar Tameez has distinguished himself as one of the leading change agents in business, developing and implementing corporate strategies that directly support business and growth objectives of organizations. He has made tremendous contributions to the consistent performance of Citi GWM O&T and has a reputation as an individual of tremendous integrity, talent, and expertise. Prior to joining Citi, Anwar headed Global Applications Development for Gartner Group Research from 2000 to 2004. Anwar began his career as a consultant at Hanaa Group USA in 1988, where he worked on a range of strategic global projects. He was then promoted to serve as the head of consulting services and was solely responsible for forming strategic alliances with Major IT and Management Consulting firms. These relationships resulted in 200 percent revenue growth annually.

ALICE TING

Alice Ting is the Director of Publications and Strategic Partnerships at The New York Times. She has been with The Times since 2000 and her responsibilities have included strategy, business development and new product development for the website and the newspaper. In her current role, she oversees a number of niche publications and manages the licensing business. Prior to the Times, Alice was a Principal Consultant in the Media & Entertainment Strategy Practice of PricewatershouseCoopers. Alice holds a B.S. from Cornell University and a MBA from Columbia Business School.
