South Asian Health Initiative
(SAHI)

Current Initiatives
SAHI engages in diverse community-based research and education activities to bridge South Asians in the United States with the health care system, and to reduce the health care disparities faced by community members. Our current initiatives include:

STOP PAAN

South Asians Engaging in Heart Disease Awareness and Treatment (SAEHAT)

Community Tuberculosis Prevention Project

Health Access Project

Community Health Needs Assessment

Language Project

In addition to these initiatives, SAHI is beginning to lay the groundwork in the areas of diabetes and mental health.
