Where can parents stay?

For children staying in unit beds, a sleeper chair is provided for one parent at bedside. One parent of a child who is located in the PICU or the Step-down unit may stay in the Parents Room, which is also located on the 9th floor. Also located on the unit for the convenience of parents are showers and a pantry with a refrigerator, microwave and small dining area.

Visiting Hours

On the pediatric unit, parents have open visiting hours. Visits from friends and family members should be made between the hours of Noon to 8:00 p.m. However, if these times do not meet your needs, please contact your child's nurse for a possible rescheduling of these visiting hours. Visiting hours for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit are unrestricted for parents and grandparents and are limited to Noon-8p.m. for all other visitors.

Cafeteria

Located on the first floor of the Tisch Hospital, the cafeteria provides a wide range of food and beverages, including Kosher meals. Cafeteria operating hours are as follows:

Monday - Friday:  24 hours a day
Saturday & Sunday:  6:30am - 9:00pm

Gift Shops

There are three gift shops located at NYU Medical Center that sell a wide array of items including candy, greeting cards, flowers, books and magazines. Gift shop locations and hours of operation are as follows:
