Clinical Responsibilities
Dr. Ray joined the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in 2009 and is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at NYU School of Medicine. Prior to his current appointment, he was on faculty at Henry Ford Hospital/ Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. After completing his medical education in Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, he trained in neurology at the University of Chicago. Subsequently, he went on to complete 2 years of fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, adult and pediatric epilepsy at the University of Chicago and the Cleveland Clinic, OH. Dr. Ray's clinical and research interests include epilepsy surgery, neuroimaging techniques in epilepsy, dipole source localization with both EEG and MEG, cortical stimulation and the development of new medications to treat epilepsy.
